Pastor Alyssa was born and raised in Tomah, WI. She taught high school history in Tomah for 12 years before answering God's call into ministry and attending Luther Seminary in St.Paul, MN. God seems to think she is, "Norwegian at heart," as both her calls in ministry have been in communities that are strongly Norwegian, eat lutefisk and lefse, and have winter ski Jump festivals--Iola, WI and now Westby. She strongly believes that God's love is for all people and has no boundaries and we, as people who are named and claimed by God through our Lord Jesus Christ, are called and empowered by the Holy Spirit to love others with the same inclusive love of God.
